BUNG Moktar Radin said he was unaware of the troubles rocking Sabah Umno until news of its leaders planning to quit broke.
The Kinabatangan MP said no one in the state Umno had spoken to him about the matter.
“No one talked to me about it. I didn’t know anything about this,” he told The Malaysian Insight today.
“If they do (quit), I want to know what is the benefit being an independent.
“But none of them are saying anything.”
Sabah Umno division heads are expected to meet today to discuss leaving the party, following its disastrous showing in the May 9 polls.
Sources have said Bung Moktar, one of Umno’s five MPs from Sabah, will stay put in the party. – December 11, 2018.
