THE PKR polls must go on despite the problem-plagued voting process, said president-elect Anwar Ibrahim.
Admitting there are several issues with the e-voting system, he said the process must, nevertheless, proceed in order for the party to move forward.
“We’ve had a lot of complaints, and if you ask me, we will investigate all of them. We are transparent.
“But what’s important is that the process must continue. We cannot postpone it any more, but I know (about) the system’s weakness, and it had been acknowledged from the beginning,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
He said some PKR members doubt the polls results due to the perceived lack of transparency in the voting process, but stressed the importance of seeing the elections through.
“In the democratic process, it’s normal to win and lose. For those who are unhappy (with the results), there is a process they can undertake… we should examine all complaints.
“But the polls cannot be postponed any more. This is what I want to stress on.” – November 13, 2018.
