THERE is nothing wrong with Azmin Ali thanking voters in the PKR polls even though the party elections are not completed and results are yet to be announced, said Zuraida Kamaruddin.
“I want to wish congratulations to Azmin for winning. It’s not official but there is no problem with him thanking the voters.
“I don’t see any problem in that,” she said after launching the Tun Fatimah Hashim Lead Conference in Putrajaya today.
Earlier, PKR president-elect Anwar Ibrahim said that Azmin should respect the PKR central election committee’s role in the polls process.
“He has the right (to celebrate), but he should know that the committee will be the one to announce (the official results). We should respect the process,” he said.
Zuraida was responding to the incumbent deputy president’s message of thanks on Twitter yesterday.
When asked if she had won in the polls, Zuraida said hopefully.
“We hope that this new leadership will make changes and strengthen the party.
“We also have to address and clear any weaknesses in the adminstrative side of the party in terms of member registration.”
As for working together with the opposing faction in the party, Zuraida said they had no issues.
“In the election, everyone will contest. So we have to be professional and put aside personal grudges.
“Where work is concerned, we have to ensure that the party is taken care of and respected.”
The unofficial results as of yesterday showed Azmin getting 68,843 votes nationwide compared with rival Rafizi Ramli’s 63,568, giving the economic affairs minister a lead of 5,275 votes. – November 12, 2018.

Just look at the numbers, logistics, no of voters, voting process & time... Even if Rafizi secures more votes, there is no way this will change Azmins overall leading position.
Unless, the JPP together with Anwars/Wan Azizahs people start manipulating the Julau results.. !
