MOHAMED Azmin Ali should respect the PKR central election committee’s (JPP) role in the polls process, said PKR president-elect Anwar Ibrahim.

“He has the right (to celebrate), but he should know that JPP will be the one to announce (the official results). We should respect the process,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

Anwar’s comments follow the incumbent deputy president’s declaration of victory before the party elections are completed.

Yesterday, a photo of Azmin was released, with a message of thanks to party members and a sign-off reading “deputy president for the 2018-2021 term”.

He had also thanked PKR members on Twitter.

“Thank you to all KEADILAN members who together voted for a mandate to pursue a genuine reform agenda.”

The unofficial results as of yesterday showed Azmin getting 68,843 votes nationwide compared with rival Rafizi Ramli’s 63,568, giving the economic affairs minister a lead of 5,275 votes. – November 12, 2018.

  • Anwar Ibrahim is bring unfair and bias! Why now open his mouth when there were so many important opportunities before to prevent chaos in the party election. He is truly bias and that tells you about his attitude, character and mannerisms.
HE WILL NEVER MAKE A GOOD LEADER. DR M SHOULD THINK TWICE BRFORE DECIDING TO PASS THE REINS TO ANWAR!

  • Anwar's intent on using RR as a foil to defeat Azmin has backfired spectactularly. Clearly, the votes are an indication of the members lack of confidence in not just RR, but of all of DSAI's proteges.

And the upshot of that is that if he does not command the confidence of the members of his own party, what right does he have to claim leadership of Harapan, let alone to be PM-in-waiting?

  • Can see that Anwar is seething !!! Only now we hear his voice !!!! Why ????? why so late???? The Azmin winning is clearly an indication of PKR heading for implosion down the road. Sadly it is Anwar himself to blame on his power erosion. and the party being in commotions. The antics of his and family leaves a bitter taste in the rakyat mouth and very guts wrenching to really forgive him in all his hypocrisies. Anwar has to do something spetacular to win back the rakyat support or he can kiss his Primership in waiting goodbye. It is no more his adversaries that will deny him that throne but the rakayt who will insist on someone clean and capable.

  • Repeating the same old mistakes. If not careful and if seen as if the country belongs to a gang of cronies, Malaysians will vote them out. Malaysians want politicians to serve honestly and truthfully.
