THE Pakatan Harapan government should review election promises that cannot be fulfilled and stop blaming the previous administration, said National Higher Education Fund Corporation chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
“Blaming Umno is the old script. The people want to see what PH can do,” he said.
Wan Saiful said that the government should review its election manifesto based on the 11th Malaysia Plan midterm review and Budget 2019.
He said the PH leadership should discuss manifesto promises that can be achieved and what should be dropped.
“We move on and do not want to blame the people who came before us, as we focus on how to overcome the obstacles we have inherited.
“We can depend on information that is now more comprehensive as we have two documents that can replace the manifesto – the 11th Malaysian Plan midterm review and Budget 2019,” he said.
These two documents can replace the manifesto because it was written based on more complete information, compared with the information at PH’s disposal when the manifesto was delivered, said Wan Saiful.
He apologised to the people today for failing to fulfil PH’s election promise that PTPTN would withhold repayments to the fund for loanees with incomes less than RM4,000. – November 10, 2018.
