ONE more person has been reported missing in the landslide in Paya Terubong, Penang, state Fire and Rescue Department chief Saadon Mokhtar said.
He said followed the victim’s brother reporting him missing since the incident.
The latest report received today meant three people were still missing in the landslide, he said.
Two bodies were recovered from the landslide site yesterday. Another two were found this morning. Three others escaped with injuries.
The search for victims began yesterday afternoon, only pausing due to rain for a few hours this morning.
It is raining again at the site.
Yesterday, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said recent rains in Penang could have led to the landslide at the Paya Terubong pair road construction site on Jalan Paya Terubong.
