UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi hopes the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will end their questioning of him over graft allegations today.
Zahid who came out of the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 12.25pm after being questioned for three hours said the MACC officers had given him time to perform Friday prayers.
“My statement recording session has been stopped and will continue after prayers,” he said.
When asked if his questioning will end today, Zahid said “Harap begitulah” (hopefully).
Today is the third time the former deputy prime minister is back at MACC headquarters, where he is being investigated over graft allegations linked to charitable organisation Yayasan Akal Budi that he chairs.
It was reported that RM800,000 had been allegedly misappropriated from the foundation to pay off Zahid and his wife’s credit card bills.
His daughter Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid and brother Mohamad Nasaee Ahmad Tarmizi have also have also been called up to assist in the investigations. – October 12, 2018.
