UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s daughter Nurulhidayah left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters in Putrajaya after seven hours, denying that she had been investigated by the graft busters.
She said she was not investigated by MACC but had been there just to accompany her father.
She also said her father would be out “soon” from his session with the MACC.
While Nurulhidayah denied being investigated, sources from MACC said she was questioned.
Zahid arrived at MACC headquarters at 9.20am after he was summoned to give his statement on the alleged misappropriation of funds involving his charity foundation.
Nurulhidayah and Zahid’s stepbrother, Mohamad Nasaee Ahmad Tarmizi, were also present to give their statements, believed to be in relation to the same investigation.
Zahid had previously given his statement to MACC in July.

Earlier today, Nurulhidayah urged her father to stay strong in the face of the MACC probe.
“Be brave abah. Don’t give up. Stand your ground (Berani kerana benar. Takut kerana salah!) Allahuakbar! Allahuakbar!!Allahuakbar!!!,” she wrote on Instagram.
She also explained why her father did not want his supporters to gather at MACC this morning.
She said it was because he did not want to put pressure on the MACC officers.
Umno Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam had organised a rally in support of Zahid but called it off at the Umno president’s request. – October 10, 2018.
