SABAH Police Commissioner Omar Mammah today cleared Raymond Ahuar, the political secretary to Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Christina Liew, of raping and abusing two Indonesian women.

He also said a suspect has been arrested a day after the two women lodged a police report on September 25.

A video of the women claiming to have been raped and abused by a man named “Raden” and Ahuar went viral yesterday.

“It is not clear as to why the two foreign women had named Ahuar.

“But he clearly had not idea about the matter,” said Omar, who refused to confirm whether the women had also been detained.

Ahuar, who is also Sabah PKR Youth Chief, had denied the allegations in a police report made yesterday.

He suspects it is a ploy by his political rivals to discredit him. Ahuar is vying to become PKR Youth chief in the ongoing party elections.

Omar has advised the public not to be easily influenced by claims made online.

He also confirmed that the women were Indonesians who had entered Sabah without proper papers.  – October 9, 2018.
