PRAISE and gratitude have poured in for the search and rescue team who worked on the Batang Kali campsite, following a deadly landslide on December 16.
The body of the last missing person was recovered at 4.53pm yesterday, nine days after the disaster at the Father’s Organic Farm in Gohtong Jaya.
Thirty-one people died in the lanslip, which took place during the school holidays. Sixty-one people survived the tragedy.
The search and rescue team was made up of 250 people from the police, army, Fire and Rescue Department, Special Malaysia Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team, and civil defence force.
