DOWNPOURS on the December 18 weekend left large parts of the country submerged, in some cases up to the roof, and Hulu Langat, Selangor is one of the worst-hit districts in Selangor after torrential rain began coming down on the Klang Valley on Friday.
In Hulu Langat, many sought safety on the rooftops, where they were stranded for hours before they were rescued. Others saw their homes swept away in the deluge.
Flood victims in Taman Sri Nanding and Kampung Sg Lui, Hulu Langat, are appealing for immediate help as many are still affected, even as waters begin to recede.
Almost every victim in the flooded areas there desperately hopes that the authorities will help ease their burden after they lost most of their possessions in floods. – December 20, 2021.
