IFTAR@KL2019 offers a breaking-of-fast experience for all while enjoying the beauty of the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.
The programme, organszed by the National Culture and Arts Department (JKKN) together with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Islamic Development Department (Jakim) takes place at Jalan Raja.
The programme has been running since 2012.
A total of 79,000 participated last year and the number is expected to increase this time as there is a Ramadan bazaar at Jalan Raja which, among others, sells various items for the preparation of Aidilfitri.
Iftar@KL 2019 aims to highlight Ramadan as a month of worship and foster concern for each other through welfare and build on multiracial ties. There are also free food and beverage treats.
Iftar@KL 2019 will be held six times on Saturdays and Sundays starting this week, followed by May 18 and 19 and May 25 and 26. A total of 200 officers is involved to ensure the smooth running of the programme. – May 13, 2019.
