MALAYSIA is headed for its most successful Sea Games ever and close to meeting its target of 111 gold medals after another superb day by athletes.
Securing another 13 yesterday, with three from track cycling, a double gold from diving, rhythmic gymnastics, lawn bowling and sailing, the home tally has risen to 96 gold, 64 silver and 62 bronze.
Malaysia’s best performance in the biennial Games was 111 gold at the 2001 edition, which it also hosted. – August 28, 2017.
