MUHAMMAD Adib Mohd Kassim died yesterday from injuries sustained when he was attacked during a riot at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman temple last month.
Adib was reportedly set upon by rioters, who dragged him out of an emergency services vehicle which had arrived at the temple in USJ25, Subang Jaya, in the pre-dawn hours of November 27.
In the past week, the firefighter’s condition was reported to be improving. He was taken off life support and was able to nod his head, said the National Heart Institute (IJN).
However, IJN in a statement yesterday said Adib died because of the progressive deterioration of the lungs in the last 24 hours. – December 18, 2018.
