A TOTAL of 7,191 early voters are eligible to cast their ballots today, for the Port Dickson by-election.
Some 6,636 military personnel and their spouses will vote at the hangar of the Army Basic Training Centre and Port Dickson Segenting Camp multipurpose hall, while 555 policemen will vote at the district police headquarters.
The three polling streams – Camps A, B and C – at the police headquarters will close at noon.
The by-election sees a seven-cornered contest between PKR president-elect Anwar Ibrahim, Lt Col (rtd) Mohd Nazari Mokhtar of PAS, and independents Isa Samad, who is former Negri Sembilan menteri besar, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who is Anwar’s former aide, social media personality Stevie Chan, management consultant Kan Chee Yuen and former lecturer Lau Seck Yan. – October 9, 2018.
