[WATCH] What is Undi 18?
PUTRAJAYA successfully amended the federal constitution to lower the voting age from 21 to 18.
The Bill tabled personally by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad received unanimous backing from the Opposition bloc and government backbenchers.
The amendment will allow 18-year-olds to now vote in the General election and they will be automatically registered.
This also means that 18 year olds will now be able to contest in elections. – July 17, 2019.
