MALAYSIANS must continue to be mindful and refrain from wasting food as a meal could be given to those who need it, the Lost Food Project (LFP) said.

LFP said that daily 4,000 tonnes of edible food is wasted and during Ramadan about 30% more.

Its CEO Ariffin Buranudeen who manages the food bank said these wastage could come from celebrations, events, buffets and others, while 25 % of the total wastage comes from households. – April 20, 2023.
