[LISTEN] The People v Najib Razak EP 30: Damned if I do, damned if I don’t
NAJIB RAZAK wanted to go to Parliament today. His lawyers argued fiercely, saying that he had to fulfil his duty as an MP. But the judge didn’t allow it.
The former prime minister didn’t let on in court, but during lunch, he took to Facebook to lament the no-win situation he felt he was in.
He said: If he went to Parliament, he might face suspension. But if he didn’t, he would be accused of being a coward. Hence, he has taken to social media to air his opinions, where he says people are free to respond to him. – July 1, 2019.
