THE prosecution’s 39th witness Ismee Ismail dug in his heels while defence lawyers turned up the heat on him, as he took the stand for the 6th day today.

He stood by his testimony that Najib Razak had given himself sweeping powers to control SRC International—and had executed those powers through now-missing CEO Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. Ismee insisted that despite an advisory role on paper, in reality the company’s board of directors had to seek Najib’s approval for its decisions. – June 17, 2019.
