DEFENCE Minister Mohamad Sabu has vowed action against PAS for allowing its members to wear a uniform similar to that of the Malaysian Army’s “Number 1” dress.
“We will discuss the matter at the ministry level to decide what course of action to take. This is a serious issue.
“We need to decide first whether it is against the law or not,“ the minister, better known as Mat Sabu, told reporters in Kota Kinabalu today.
The Parti Amanah Negara president was in Sabah to attend Malaysia Day celebrations hosted by the state government tonight.
Earlier the National Patriots Association (Patriot) slammed PAS for allowing its members to wear a uniform resembling that of the army’s at its annual congress.
The veterans’ group noted that it is an offence under Section 140 of the Penal Code and those found guilty of breaking the law face up to three months jail or can be fined RM1,000, or both. – September 16, 2018.
