Chief Minister Musa Aman has vowed to forge closer ties between the Sabah and federal governments to ensure continuous development in the state.
He said Sabah folk had benefited the most from good ties between both governments since independence.
“Alhamdulilah, we in Sabah have enjoyed much development, progress and prosperity since independence.
“This has allowed the Sabah government to carry out development and improve the socio-economic standing, education and job opportunities for the people,” he said at the state launch of the Merdeka month in Kota Kinabalu today.
Musa said since independence, Sabah had received much recognition and played significant roles at the national level.
He said it was important for Sabah folk, from both the public and private sectors, to give their undivided support to policies and development mooted by the government.
Present at the event were members of the state Cabinet and the state’s top public and military officers. – August 1, 2017.
