PUTRAJAYA has ordered police to look into the disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh, and three activists who have been missing since 2016.
The activists are Amri Che Mat, Pastor Joshua Hilmy and Joshua’s wife, Ruth.
De facto Law Minister Liew Vui Keong said the government has instructed police to investigate.
“We don’t know what happened to them, whether they are dead or alive.
“We have a responsibility to their family members, to inform them, as the new government,” he said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia is conducting a public inquiry into the disappearance of the four individuals to ascertain whether they are cases of enforced disappearance.
Asked if investigations papers will be reopened, Liew said he will leave it to police to decide.
“Investigations have to be done, and we will leave it to police. We want to know what happened.”
