PAKATAN Harapan withdrew its judicial review on a legal challenge against the Registrar of Societies (RoS) after the coalition was registered in May.
Lawyer Michelle Ng said the initial judicial review was filed against the RoS over the commission’s failure to register PH as an official coalition.
“The juridical review was withdrawn with no order as to costs. The judicial review had to do with the RoS’ refusal to register Pakatan Harapan as a society,” she told The Malaysian Insight today.
The application was withdrawn in front of high court judge Nordin Hassan today.
On May 16, PH was registered as an official coalition and was permitted to use its logo.
Prior to that, the coalition contested the 14th general election under the PKR banner after RoS refused to recognise the PH logo.
In February, PH mounted a legal challenge against RoS but the suit went nowhere. – July 12, 2018.
