RAFIZI Ramli’s “Jom Bina Semula Negara” roadshow shows how desperate PKR is in toppling the Barisan Nasional government, Special Affairs Department (Jasa) director-general Puad Zakarshi said.

He said the PKR vice-president had run out of ideas and had to rely on a roadshow after the 1Malaysia Development Board scandal failed to gain traction with voters.

“So now he has to use issues like minimum wage and living costs as part of his campaign.

“It’s a desperate attempt by him. Look at the first US Department of Justice (DoJ) suit on the 1MDB.

Has anyone been charged until today? Even US President Donald Trump doesn’t believe in the DoJ,” he said during the department’s Hari Raya open house in Kota Kinabalu today.

Present at the event were Chief Minister Musa Aman and Yayasan Sabah Group director Sapawi Ahmad.

In the third and latest forfeiture suit, the DoJ revealed that US$540 million was used to purchase among other things, a yacht, paintings and a US$27 million pink diamond necklace.

The necklace was bought for the wife of Malaysian Official No. 1, who has since been identified as Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Puad said Malaysia iwas not a failed state as alleged by Rafizi, saying the government had all the reports to show the economy was doing well.

Instead, the “Jom Bina Semula Negara” roadshow should aptly be called “Jom Binasakan Negara” (Let’s destroy the country), he added.

Puad said Rafizi was a liar as he had four convictions against him to show that he was constantly spreading lies and slanders.

“Don’t listen to Rafizi… he himself admitted that the only way to topple the government is to convince Malaysians that we’re in some kind of trouble.

“But people are not that stupid to believe him. The results of the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections are proof of this,” he said.

Pakatan Harapan suffered a huge blow in the 2016 by-elections, seeing BN retaining both seats, with a majority of 9,191 votes in Sungai Besar and 6,969 votes in Kuala Kangsar. – July 13, 2017.
