Jamal arrives for remand hearing

FUGITIVE Umno leader Jamal Md Yunos landed in Malaysia today and was immediately whisked to the Ampang magistrates’ court for his remand hearing.

The Sungai Besar Umno division chief was escorted by police into the courthouse at 3.55pm handcuffed, wearing a black hoody, blue jeans and black converse cap.

He was extradited from Indonesia and put on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH710 that touched down at 2.50pm in KLIA

On May 25, Jamal was charged with being a public nuisance over an incident of him smashing cases of beer in front of the Selangor secretariat building last October.

He is also under investigation for contravening the Firearms Act by displaying a pistol in public.

He went on the run after being charged. – July 5, 2018.

  • Stupid question, but I wonder why his crimes were not crimes under the BN government.
    Did did he have immunity ?
