Musa Aman will cooperate with MACC, says lawyer

The Malaysian Insight

SABAH Barisan Nasional chairman Musa Aman has said through his lawyer that he will give his full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

“The MACC is welcome to search his residence,” Musa’s counsel Zahir Shah said in a statement.

Zahir said his client was communicating with the authorities through him, and the former chier minister statements are being shared via his former press secretary Afeiza Khan.

The MACC had gone to Musa’s house in Luyang to conduct a search several days ago but was unsuccessful as Musa and his immediate family members were not at home.

Musa is believed to be overseas, according to media reports.

On May 14, he was seen leaving Kota Kinabalu for Kuala Lumpur on a Malindo Air flight.

The Star earlier today said he is believed to be in London, but another report said he had not left the country, according to the Immigration Department, as his passport had not been scanned at any exit point.

Sabah police is looking for Musa to record his statement for alleged intimidation of the Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin over his swearing in as chief minister on May 10, a day after GE14.

But Musa is no longer chief minister after several BN reps defected to Parti Warisan Sabah, giving its president Shafie Apdal the majority numbers in the legislative assembly to become chief minister. – May 26, 2018.
