ANIFAH Aman, the brother of embattled Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman Musa Aman, said he did not know of his brother’s whereabouts because they were not in touch.
He said the last two times he spoke to Musa was on the night of May 9 and in the early hours of May 10.
“I did ask him if he needed any help… but he said no.
“He (Musa) doesn’t need my help as he can fight his own battles. But what is important now is that our relationship as brothers remains intact,” Anifah, the former foreign affairs minister told reporters at a breaking-of-fast event that he hosted in Kota Kinabalu tonight.
Sabah police are trying to find Musa to record his statement over the alleged criminal intimidation of Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahirrudin on the night of May 10, when he was sworn in as chief minister.
After the defection of BN assemblymen to Warisan, its president Shafie Apdal was then sworn in and is now recognised as the legitimate chief minister.
The Star reported earlier today that he had left for London via Brunei and Singapore.
Other reports, however, said he was likely still in the country as the Immigration Department had not recorded his passport at any exit point.
Anifah, the Kimanis MP, said it was not unusual for he and Musa not to be in contact as they had both been busy in politics.
He also joked that it was time for Musa to rest.
Also present tonight were Parti Bersatu Sabah president Joseph Pairin Kitingan, Dr Yee Moh Chai, Sabah Star president Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah president Lajim Ukin, PBRS deputy president Arthur Kurup, Umno members Zakaria Edris, Ariffin Arif, Masidi Manjun and members of the MySabah group led by Anifah. – May 26, 2018.
