PERLIS Menteri Besar Azlan Man today said he has not received his expulsion letter from Umno.

This is despite the announcement by Perlis Umno chief Shahidan Kassim that Azlan has been sacked from the party after he got himself sworn in as menteri besar against the party’s wishes.

“There is no letter… who expelled me from what? There is no expulsion… it cannot be done by one person alone,” Bernama quoted him as saying today.

The Bintong assemblyman was sworn in as Perlis menteri besar for the second term yesterday and his sacking from Umno was announced mere hours later.

His swearing in ceremony was boycotted by state BN lawmakers and this angered the Raja of Perlis.

Asked how he would run the state if he could not appoint state assemblymen to be executive councillors, he said time was needed to resolve the matter but did not elaborate further. – May 25, 2018.
