Explain this, Najib

The Malaysian Insight

WHY would anyone want to keep RM114 million in a condominium unit?

Didn’t they trust the banking system? Or was there some other motive for keeping the money there?

The average Malaysian will ask this question, if they have not already.

Where the money came from and whether if it belongs to Umno (which the party has claimed), is another issue, for another day.

Police said the RM114 million in 35 luggage bags and 284 handbags were found in a condo unit at the Pavilion Residences belonging to a “Tan Sri” while another 150 handbags were found in a unit belonging to Najib Razak’s daughter.

Police are still sifting through another 37 bags filled with jewellery and other valuables found in this Tan Sri’s unit. The loot is definitely much bigger.

So, who is this Tan Sri? Why is he keeping quiet?

The fact so far is this: Police found this loot when investigating former prime minister Najib and his brainchild 1Malaysia Development Berhad.

Najib now has the moral obligation to explain this obscene amount stashed in the condo.

He took to his Facebook page recently to counter Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng’s dark assessment of the economy.

Najib has not been arrested yet. He still has access to his FB.

So he should waste no time explaining this stashed loot:

To the lowly civil servant who works two jobs a day just to put his daughter or son into college;

To ex-civil servants who are being turned away from government hospitals that have run out of medicine;

To former students who are barred from leaving the country because they cannot repay their study loans;

But most importantly, explain this to Malaysians who trusted him and his party Umno and put them in power for such a long time. – May 25, 2018.
