Jamal Yunos charged with being a public nuisance

JAMAL Yunos was charged with being a public nuisance for last year’s protest against the Better Beer Festival 2017, reports Sinar Harian

The Sungai Besar Umno head in October had smashed bottles of beer in front of the Selangor secretariat building in Shah Alam, to demonstrate his objection to the event that was to have been held in conjunction with Oktoberfest.

It is reported that the 48-year-old Red Shirts leader was charged at the Ampang Puteri Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for back pain.

Jamal claimed trial to the charge, which carries a RM400 fine, said the report.

Bail was set at RM3,000 and June 8 fixed for mention at the Shah Alam Magistrate’s Court. – May 25, 2018.
