THE Health Ministry has announced the formation of a Health Advisory Council to help improve healthcare.
Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the council will comprise of prominent figures in healthcare and will be formed within the next three months.
“The council will work closely with the existing experts in the ministry in addressing any issues raised before proposing the best solutions to the government in overcoming them.
“This is also in line with our commitment to ensure that all levels of society enjoy the best health services, especially those from the lower income group,” Bernama reported him as saying at the Health Ministry today.
Dr Dzulkefly was there to receive handover documents from former health minister Dr S. Subramaniam.
The health minister said the government is committed to implement the Healthcare Scheme, a key pledge of the Pakatan Harapan manifesto, and it will retain healthcare policies from the previous administration that are beneficial to the people. – May 24, 2018.
