THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission will resume questioning former prime minister Najib Razak tomorrow. Najib is required to be at MACC headquarters at 10am for another round of questions, after a five-hour session with graft-busters yesterday.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (Operation) Azam Baki told Bernama Najib needed to record his statement in connection with investigations into allegations of embezzling and money laundering of SRC International funds.
SRC International was a subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) but was taken over by the Finance Ministry in 2012.
Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has appointed a special task force to investigate the 1MDB financial scandal, in which billions of dollars were allegedly stolen from the state investment fund founded by Najib when he was prime minister and finance minister. – May 23, 2018.
