THE search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 by a private company will end on May 29, reported Bernama.
It quoted Transport Minister Anthony Loke as saying the contract for Ocean Infinity, a US-based underwater exploration firm, will not be extended.
“After May 29, a decision will be made on whether the details of the report will be made public,” he said after his ministry’s post-cabinet meeting today.
He said under the previous Barisan Nasional government, Ocean Infinity’s search had gone on until May 6, and when Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election, the company had applied for its contract to be extended until May 29.
He said the agreement for the extension did not involve any fees.
