Quit as SPAD chairman or get sacked, Loke tells Isa Samad

The Malaysian Insight

ISA Samad has one week to quit as Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) chairman or he will be sacked, said Anthony Loke.

The transport minister’s statement today comes after Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said SPAD will be dissolved and its role taken over by Loke’s ministry.

“SPAD chairman Isa Samad has to resign immediately. As a former minister, I hope he will do it the honourable way and voluntarily resign,” said Loke after the first Pakatan Harapan cabinet meeting.

“I would prefer not to terminate the post or have to issue the termination letter.” – May 23, 2018.
