NEW Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali got down to business early today when he was among the first few to clock in to the ministry.
Upon his arrival at 7.40am, the former Selangor menteri besar was briefed on the workings of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) from its director-general Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid.
The EPU was under the Prime Minister’s Office under the previous Barisan Nasional administration but is now come under the Economic Affairs Ministry.
According to his aide, Azmin pledged to fulfil all the promises in the Pakatan Harapan manifesto.
“Under Azmin, the ministry is committed to undertaking a new strategic direction to undertake the necessary reforms to realise the people’s agenda as envisaged in Pakatan Harapan’s manifesto,” he said in a statement.
Azmin also promised to turn around the nation’s economic condition after the poor performance in the past few years under BN. – May 22, 2018.
