EMBATTLED former prime minister Najib Razak has axed his legal team ahead of his questioning by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Lawyers Harpal Singh Grewal and M. Athimulan were told by the former prime minister tonight that their services were no longer needed.
They were replaced by former solicitor-general II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden and his team of six lawyers, according to a source.
They are now at Najib’s residence at Jalan Langgak Duta poring over case details.
Najib is scheduled to give his statement to the MACC in Putrajaya at 10am tomorrow. – May 21, 2018.
