DR Wan Azizah Wan Ismail led the line-up of ministers sworn in before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V today.
Bernama reported that the swearing-in ceremony, which took place at Istana Negara, was witnessed by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
His wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, was present.
The ceremony began at 5.45pm with PKR president Dr Wan Azizah’s acceptance of the instrument of appointment as deputy prime minister and women and family development minister.
She took her oath of office and signed the instrument of appointment, witnessed by Chief Justice Md Raus Sharif and Chief Secretary to the Government Dr Ali Hamsa.
Next were Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin (home minister), DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng (finance minister) and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu (defence minister).

Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik, Titiwangsa MP Rina Harun and PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali were sworn in as education minister, rural development minister and economic affairs minister, respectively.
PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin is made housing and local government minister, DAP organising secretary Anthony Loke (transport minister) and DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo (communications and multimedia minister).
Rounding up the list are Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub (agriculture and agro-based industry minister), DAP vice-chairman M. Kulasegaran (human resource minister) and Amanah strategic director Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (health minister).
Dr Mahathir was sworn in as the seventh prime minister on May 10, following Pakatan Harapan’s victory in the 14th general election.
He is expected to name the rest of his cabinet in stages. – May 21, 2018.
