NAJIB Razak is turning away visitors at his private residence at Jalan Langgak Duta after returning from a day-long trip to Pekan with his wife, Rosmah Mansor, at noon.
The first group that attempted to visit the embattled former prime minister were students from Mahasiswa Turun Parlimen.
They arrived at 1.40pm but left at 2pm after they were not allowed to enter.
Another group of 45 Umno members from the party’s Tanjung Malim branch arrived later at 3.30pm. They left at 4.15pm after some discussion at the gate of the residence.
Both groups refused to speak to the media.
Najib is being investigated under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act over the 1Malaysia Development Bhd scandal.
His lawyer Harpal Singh Grewal said Rosmah is not being investigated. – May 21, 2018.
