FORMER prime minister Najib Razak arrived at his private residence in Jalan Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur at 11.17am after leaving Pekan, Pahang.
He was in a Vellfire and was escorted by two outriders with two other cars.
Najib and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, left Pekan at about 8.30am this morning after their one-day visit to the former prime minister’s constituency.
It was their first visit to Pekan since Barisan Nasional’s defeat in the 14th general election on May 9.
It was also Rosmah’s first public appearance since intense searches began at their private residence, as well as at three condominium units linked to the former prime minister at Pavilion Residences.
It was reported by New Straits Times that police had finally opened eight safes at the prime minister’s official residence in Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
The English daily said no money was found in the safes, which were opened with the help of two locksmiths and took nearly two hours.
Another safe in his private residence was opened on Friday after more than a day of trying to break it.
Najib is being investigated under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001. – May 21, 2018.
