ROSMAH Mansor has earned more scorn on social media following a media interview yesterday, in which she spoke about the police raids on her children’s homes and public outrage at her husband Najib Razak.
Commentators slammed her for putting on an act while failing to account for her lavish lifestyle in her exclusive interview with the Malay Mail.
“Hubby and wifey playing self-pitying innocent cows now. And expecting others to pity them as well, without having slightest remorse for the damage they have done to the country,” said Murali Subramaniam on Facebook.
Sharen Cheah-Bradfield was unconvinced by Rosmah’s claim that she held no grudges.
“Hah! She bears no grudges! Wanna bet? Look at how she treated her own daughter’s family. She will probably put a hex on people who offended her,” she wrote in the comments section of the article posted on Facebook.
Rosmah’s daughter from her first marriage, Azrene Ahmad has on social media platforms accused Rosmah of abusing her and her family.
“Really you don’t mind? (But) You were so angry (when) Nurul (Izzah Anwar) called you by your full name?” said Judy Lee.
Others expressed disbelief Rosmah was sleeping well now that her family had fallen from grace. Some were outraged by her request to be treated with dignity.
“Her perfectly delivered comments… as coached closely by her team of lawyers and close aides!!! She knows that if she delivers her thoughts alone, she would get persecuted!!! Asking for dignity, my foot!” said Ivan Christie Jeremiah.
A Twitter user, meanwhile, has come up with a clever pun on the Malay idiom “Cakap tak serupa bikin”, which means to say one thing but to do another.
“Najib and Rosmah ask us to live moderately but Rosmah owns 200 plus branded bags among other luxury items. Cakap tak serape Birkin,” lawyer Louis Liaw tweeted on Friday.
The post referring to the 284 designer handbags seized in a raid conducted in connection with an investigation into her husband, has been retweeted 3,900 times. – May 20, 2018.
