Kit Siang chose not to be in cabinet

The Malaysian Insight

LIM Kit Siang has elected not to join the government.

The DAP supremo said he had conveyed his decision not to become a minister to Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad from the start.

He was quoted as saying this by China Press last night after an event in Skudai to thank voters.

However, Lim has vowed to continue with his campaign to bring reforms to the government.

The Iskandar Puteri MP said DAP had enough talent among its ranks and expressed confidence with those picked by Dr Mahathir in the new cabinet.

The party’s four representatives in the line-up of 13 ministers are Lim Guan Eng (finance), Anthony Loke (transport), Gobind Singh Deo (communications and multimedia), and M. Kulasegaran (human resources). – May 20, 2018.
