NAJIB Razak is to be present for an interview at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office in Putrajaya on Tuesday, Azam Baki said today, hours after the former prime minister’s lawyer said anti-graft officers would will question him at home in Taman Duta.
The MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) said the notice served to Najib was clear that he was required to be present at the MACC office.
“I reject his lawyer’s claim that our officers will be going to his house on Tuesday,” Azam said in a statement today.
Earlier today Najib’s lawyer Harpal Singah Grewal said MACC had agreed to take down Najib’ statement at his home in Jalan Langgak Duta, at 8am Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had said he expected Najib would be charged following a probe into power abuse and money laundering in connection with 1Malaysia Development Bhd. – May 19, 2018.
