SINGAPOREAN Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya today to meet with Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Lee came here to hold talks with the 92-year-old about ties between the two nations, following Pakatan Harapan’s capture of Putrajaya.
It was reported that Lee had said during the parliamentary debate on the president’s address on Wednesday that Singapore needed to pay close attention to the two nations’ diplomatic ties.
“We hope Malaysia is stable and prosperous. We have enjoyed good relations with Malaysia under former prime minister Najib Razak, and cooperated on major projects that benefit both sides,” he was reported as saying.
Lee was accompanied by Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. – May 19, 2018.
