FORMER prime minister Najib Razak has just arrived home after performing his tarawih prayers.

Two cars escorted his vehicle along with two outriders.

Earlier, the police had managed to open a decades-old safe at Najib’s private residence on Jalan Langgak Duta after 24 hours.

His lawyer Harpal Singh Grewal said the safe contains a few old notes and some foreign currencies.

The police had been trying to open the safe since 8.30am yesterday.

A few Umno members also showed up at Najib’s home today, such as Pahang Umno Youth chief Mohd Shahar Abdullah, Baling MP Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim and former Kedah menteri besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.

The raid began on Wednesday night and Harpal said Najib is being investigated under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act. – May 18, 2018.
