Under escort, Najib leaves house for Friday prayers

WITH his every move under media scrutiny, former prime minister Najib Razak left his private residence in Taman Duta for Friday prayers, escorted by three other vehicles and two outriders.

One of the vehicles leaving his house at Jalan Langgak Duta was a police car.

Najib was heading to the mosque at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) for prayers.

Scores of journalists and camera crew have been camped outside his house since Wednesday night when police started searching it.

Searches have also been conducted at his old office in Putrajaya and units at Pavilion Residences where police have seized 284 handbags and 72 bags of cash and jewellery that filled five lorries.

Police are also working on opening a safe in the Taman Duta house. – May 18, 2018.
