AS police continued to search his home for evidence, former prime minister Najib Razak sought solace in the company of his mother on the first day of Ramadan.
“My dad spending some quality time with Tun Rahah his beloved mother. It has become a family custom to break fast with her on the first day of Ramadhan,” said Najib’s youngest son, Ashman, on Instagram.
On the eve of the fasting month yesterday, Najib had gone to pray at the mosque in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur. It was his first public appearance he announced his resignation as Umno president five days ago.
He had posted pictures of himself at the mosque on Twitter, as did Twitter user Izzat Ikhwan, @JatIkhwan, who said he was lucky to pray with Najib in a tweet accompanied by a picture of the two of them side by side.
Najib left by the back exit soon after.
Police are still at Najib’s house in Jalan Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur. – May 17, 2018.
