POLICE raided five premises connected to the former prime minister Najib Razak yesterday evening.
Sources said police were searching his former official residence Sri Perdana, his private residence in Taman Duta, his former office in Putrajaya, and two condominiums in Pavillion KL believed to belong to his family.
Najib’s lawyers were at the Taman Duta property, where they had arrived shortly after the police late last night. At 4am today, they and the police are still in the house.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigations Department director Amar Singh said the police visits were to search for evidence in an ongoing probe, but declined to say what they were searching for. – May 17, 2018.
