POLICE late yesterday night made a series of raids on the properties and office of the former prime minister Najib Razak.

Several teams of officers simultaneously raided the prime minister’s office in Putrajaya as well as his private residence in Taman Duta in Kuala Lumpur.

The raid on his Taman Duta home saw officers arriving in more than 10 vehicles. A source said investigators seized several documents in the raids.

As news of the raid spread, a crowd of onlookers formed outside Najib’s home. It is learnt many of them had come from the Pakatan Harapan rally at Padang Timur, Petaling Jaya.

Police are still in the house at 1.15am today. – May 17, 2018.
