Police raid Najib's former office

AS security officers continue to stand watch over the private residence of former prime minister Najib Razak, a police team raided the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Putrajaya today.

Government sources said police raided the office of the former prime minister at 9pm in connection with ongoing investigations into Najib.

It is understood police would also be visiting other premises, including the prime minister’s official residence Seri Perdana occupied by Najib before his crushing defeat in the 14th general election.

Newly appointed Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has yet to move into the official residence that was now his as long as he remained in office.

Meanwhile, another team of police officers in about six cars and a truck were at Najib’s home in Jalan Langgak Duta at 10.15pm.

Malaysia Decides was prevented from from entering the road leading to Seri Perdana.

“No, you cannot use road. Please make a u-turn,” said the officer, who did not say more.

The officer had earlier told Malaysia Decides that nothing out of the ordinary was happening. – May 16, 2018.
