PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli tonight reminded Pakatan Harapan leaders to respect the opposition now made up of Barisan Nasional and PAS.
He said he wished to see the opposition act as check and balance for the PH government.
“The government was previously unfair to us.
“My friends in BN and PAS, you have a big duty as the opposition to keep us in check and to always serve the people,” Rafizi said in a speech at Padang Timur tonight.
He also warned PH leaders not to succumb to corruption and let down the very people who had put them in power.
“The PH government needs to realise that every sen is the people’s money. The leaders need to remember who let us win – not the individual, party or leader but the people.
When he announced that the goods and services tax was no more, starting June 1, the 5,000 people broke into cheers. – May 16, 2018.
